1.  WHAT IS THE PROBLEM OR QUESTION YOU INTEND TO INVESTIGATE?

    SAMPLES:

A. How much fat is in and average seventh grader's diet?
B. Do deodorant soaps kill more bacteria than non-deodorant soaps?

2.  DESCRIBE THE METHOD OR PROCEDURE YOU INTEND TO USE?

    SAMPLES:

Question A:    Fat in 7th grader's diet.
* Give a survey out to 12  7th grade homerooms (240 students).  Include survey.
* Record amount of fat based on established guidelines.  American Heart Assoc.
* Compare populations within sample - male vs. female, white vs. minority.

Question B:  Bacteria & Soaps
* Culture Sterile sample of stock bacteria, E. coli, obtained from Fisher Scientific.
* Incubate bacteria in liquid broth, as referenced below.
* Add soap samples in increments of 1 ml from 0 to 5 ml tubes, incubate.
* Compare turbidity of tubes after 3 days and plat 1 ml of broth and count colonies after and additional 3 days.

3.  BIBLIOGRAPHY
